I Smell Blood

They’re absolutely terrified.

First, for those just tuning in, here are the relevant facts that everyone admits:

1) Seth Rich was a Democratic National Committee (DNC) staffer during the 2016 election season.
2) Rich was murdered in July 2016 for reasons unknown by person(s) unknown.

Here is an additional fact that the left usually doesn’t dispute, though they try to avoid mentioning it:

3) Rich was in contact with WikiLeaks, who exposed damaging facts about Hillary Clinton and her campaign. WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, has confirmed contact with Seth Rich, mentioning him by name in this video from Dutch news program Nieuwsuur in 2016 after Rich was killed:

Here’s a transcript if you don’t want to click through:

Assange: WikiLeaks never sits on material. We go through significant effort to get off the material, and often very significant risks. A 27-year-old, that worked for the DNC, was shot in the back, murdered, just a few weeks ago, for unknown reasons, as he was walking down the street in Washington…
News show host: That was just a robbery, I believe, wasn’t it?
Assange: No, there’s no finding.
Host: What are you suggesting?
Assange: I’m suggesting that our sources take risks. And they become concerned to see things occurring like that.
Host: Was he one of your sources, then?
Assange: We don’t comment on who our sources are.
Host: Then why make a suggestion, about a young guy being shot in the streets of Washington?
Assange: Because we have to understand how high the stakes are in the United States, and that our sources are – our sources take serious risks. That’s why they come to us, so we can protect their anonymity.
Host: That’s quite something, to suggest a murder, that’s basically what you’re doing.
Assange: Others have suggested that. We are investigating to understand what happened in that situation with Seth Rich.

In this context, it’s not surprising that the leftist media is in outright panic terror. They’ve pounced on this story with their lie-and-obfuscate strategy with amazing speed and intensity. In the last 36 hours it’s been astounding to watch them.

They’re scared because if this materializes into something it’s a two-fold hit to the left:
First, if Rich was the leak source, then the last tired shreds of the “Russian interference!” meme die.
Second, if he was the leak source, then who had a motive to kill him?

The media’s most common attempt at distraction is to point out that Fox News retracted a story on Rich. But Fox can’t retract the three facts mentioned above.

What particular details Fox has retracted I don’t know, since that article is no longer available.

We do know, however, that Fox cannot have “retracted” the fact that Rich was in contact with WikiLeaks.

We need to keep pulling on the Seth Rich thread. There’s no way they’d be this scared if there were nothing to it.

We have the truth on our side. But unfortunately the enemy also has an advantage: all they have to do is stonewall. If no new evidence comes to light, then the story will die. We have to hope that someone who knows something will come forward.

Meanwhile: His name was Seth Rich.
