The importance of this can hardly be overstated. The beneficial effect of reducing the tax burden of real Americans paying for this crap is only one thing. Potentially much more important, as Anon Conserv notes, is the effect on those contemplating invading us, I mean, immigrating. If you were planning on coming here for some of that yummy freebie goodness paid for by other people, you now will say, “Not worth it.”
See how Trump is serious about all this. The increased enforcement of immigration law is the stick. And he’s taking away the carrot. He really wants to solve this problem and save the country.
